Hey, I’m Shuvika.
If you’ve landed here, chances are you’ve also spent a late night Googling something like “is fatty liver reversible” or “what can I actually feed my toddler that isn’t just pasta.” I’ve been there more times than I’d like to admit — which is basically the whole reason this site exists.
How Shuvika.com Came Together
I didn’t start this blog because I had it all figured out. I started it because I didn’t, and I got tired of wading through pages that were either written in confusing medical jargon or so vague they were basically useless. Somewhere in between “see a doctor” and “here’s a miracle cure,” I felt like there was room for something honest — real information, explained the way you’d explain it to a friend over coffee.
So that’s what I try to do here. I read the studies, talk to people who know more than me when I need to, test recipes in my own kitchen, and try the workouts before I write about them. If something doesn’t actually work, I’m not going to pretend it does just to fill a page.
What’s Actually On This Site
I write about the stuff that comes up in everyday life, not just theory:
- Health conditions people are quietly dealing with — diabetes, fatty liver, thyroid issues, heart health, gut health. The things you don’t always talk about at dinner parties but think about constantly.
- Nutrition basics — vitamins, minerals, superfoods, and just plain healthy eating without the extremes.
- Food you’ll actually make — breakfasts, high-protein meals, smoothies, and weight-loss recipes that don’t taste like cardboard.
- Fitness that fits into real life — home workouts, yoga, stretching, and weight loss approaches that don’t require two hours a day or a gym membership.
- Beauty from the inside out — hair care, skin care, and the foods that actually support hair growth (spoiler: it’s not just about the products you buy).
- Parenting and baby care — baby food, child nutrition, pregnancy nutrition, and the everyday realities of keeping a small human fed and healthy.
A Few Honest Notes
I’m not a doctor, and I’m not pretending to be one on this site. What I share comes from research, credible sources, and personal experience — but it’s not a replacement for actually talking to your physician, pediatrician, or dietitian about your specific situation. I’ll always point you toward professional advice when something calls for it, and you can read exactly how I handle that on the Disclaimer page.
Why I Keep Doing This
Honestly? Because I get messages from people saying a recipe finally got their kid to eat vegetables, or a stretching routine helped with back pain they’d had for years, and that never stops feeling good. If this site helps even one person feel a little more in control of their health, it’s doing its job.
Thanks for stopping by. Look around, and if something’s missing or you want me to cover a specific topic, just reach out — I read every message.
